RQFWS Cheese & Dairy Produce Show presented by Lendlease

The Dairy Produce Show stems back to the first ever Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) in 1876, making it one of the RNA’s oldest competitions.

In 2016, the entry numbers in the Cheese & Dairy Produce Show and Ice Cream, Gelato & Sorbet Competition remained strong, confirming them as some of the nation’s premier dairy competitions.

Whilst the awards are built on longstanding traditions celebrating excellence in Australian dairy produce, they are also reflective of current industry trends and in particular, changing consumer interest.

New this year in the Cheese and Dairy Produce Show is the addition of 'other non-bovine milk products' to classes 51-57, previously only open to sheep, goat and buffalo milk. This is due to the increasing popularity of products made from milks other than dairy cows, such as camel milk.

In 2017, renowned international food judge and cheesemaker, Russell Smith, will return as Chief Judge of the RQFWS’s Cheese & Dairy Produce Show.

Mr Smith, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, will oversee an expert judging panel which will be made up of some of Australia’s most respected and experienced food industry professionals.

Don’t miss this opportunity to have your products judged at the highest level, by some of the nation’s top dairy judges. The products are judged on their flavour, aroma, body, texture and presentation.

Join us in celebrating Australia’s finest produce and secure your chance to win a place in this prestigious, national competition. This is a unique branding opportunity for your business, so make sure you don’t miss out.

Entries will open on Monday 20 February, 2017.
